Frequently Asked Questions
What is an escape room?
They are live-action, immersive experiences. Think of our “escape rooms” as like starring in a movie, where you, and your friends and family solve puzzles and decipher clues to complete the mission.
Are we really locked in a room?
You are never locked in a room at The Escape Hatch. You can always leave the room whenever you need to.
How much does it cost?
We use a tiered pricing structure to ensure your game is always private. We recommend visiting our Book Now page to check for any specials we may be running. Standard pricing is $25.00 plus tax per person Monday through Thursday. Friday through Sunday, groups of 4 or more people are $30 plus tax per person, groups of 3 people are $34 plus tax per person, and groups of 2 people are $38 plus tax per person.
There is no charge for children under the age of 4 years old; however, they must be kept securely in a carrier or stroller at all times while in the room and do not count towards the minimum number of people required to book a room.
A minimum of 2 people (maximum of 6 allowed) is required to book Bubba’s Basement Bargains, a minimum of 4 people (maximum of 9 allowed) is required to book Exit Protocol, and a minimum of 4 people (maximum of 8 allowed) is required to book HaZard Pay.
Are the games private?
Yes, we have a tiered pricing structure to ensure that your game is private, and you will not have to play with strangers.
How long does the experience last?
Following a short safety briefing and introduction to the mission, your team has 60 minutes to complete the mission.
What if we don’t finish within the 60 minutes?
Don’t worry! Not every team will finish within the 60 minutes. If you run out of time, your Game Master will talk you through the rest of the steps in the game that you didn’t complete, so that you can see how the mission ends.
Are there any age restrictions?
Escape rooms are a great activity for anyone age 4 and older! Children under the age of 4 years old must be kept securely in a carrier or stroller at all times while in the room. Minors between the ages of 13-17 years old must have a waiver signed by a parent or adult guardian in order to play alone. Minors under the age of 13 must have a paid adult in the room with them at all times. It is the responsibility of the parent or adult guardian to ensure that all minors comply with all safety rules and Game Master instructions during the game. Parents are responsible for any damages caused by minors.
HaZard Pay is rated PG-13 for loud noises, darkness, scare and strobe effects, blood and gore, and rude humor. It is not recommended for children under the age of 13, or those that are easily frightened, however younger children will not be denied entry as long as a paid adult is in the room with them.
