Looking for something to do in the Kissimmee area other than Disney World, Universal Orlando, or Sea World?
The Escape Hatch
Start your day with an escape room adventure at The Escape Hatch. If your group is feeling up to the challenge, try our hardest room, HaZard Pay, and see if you have what it takes to stop the zombie apocalypse. For a more family-friendly experience, we recommend either Bubba’s Basement Bargains: A Pawn Shop Heist or our limited engagement Santa’s Christmas List Caper room. Slightly older children will also enjoy the excitement of being a secret agent in Exit Protocol.
Children of all ages are welcome at The Escape Hatch and everyone under the age of 4 can play with your group for free. We recommend checking out our room descriptions and FAQs at www.escapehatchorlando.com for more information on room themes, levels of difficulty, and age requirements.
Fun Spot
Once you’ve completed your escape adventure, step outside our door and step right into Fun Spot Kissimmee, which features unique attractions such as an arcade, roller coasters, multi-level go-kart tracks, and the World’s Tallest Skycoaster, standing 300’.
If you are looking for something to entertain your young ones, Fun Spot also has a selection of rides just for kids.
Old Town
Walk through Fun Spot and you will enter Old Town. Old Town is designed to resemble a historic downtown shopping district and features shopping, dining, and weekly events, such as classic and muscle car shows. They also have several bar and club options, if you want to experience the nightlife.
One of the most popular Old Town experiences is the Mortem Manor Haunted Attraction. If you’re looking for a spooky night out, play HaZard Pay at The Escape Hatch and then tour Mortem Manor, and you’ll be guaranteed to get your scare fix!
More Escape Rooms
Once you have enjoyed all of the games at The Escape Hatch, there are also two other high-quality escape rooms a short drive away along U.S. 192. Dare 2 Escape offers eight rooms and Doldrick’s offers four rooms.
Golfing
Falcon’s Fire Golf Club is also a short drive away and offers a challenging yet playable course for a relaxing round with friends or a competitive tournament. Among its recognitions and achievements are a Four Star Award from Golf Digest, “Florida’s 50 Finest Golf Courses” by Golf & Travel, and “America’s Top 15 Women Friendly Courses” by Golf for Women. Falcon’s Fire also hosted the Senior PGA Tour Regional Finals for four years and the Oldsmobile Scramble National Finals for eight years.
If putt-putt is more to your liking, Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf is within walking distance of The Escape Hatch.
More to Do
A short drive away is Machine Gun America, and the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center, which has an annual Christmas extravaganza, including snow tubing and ICE!, which features famous scenes and slides carved from millions of pounds of ice and is kept at a chilly 9 degrees. But don’t worry, a giant blue parka is provided with your admission. Hats and gloves are also recommended!
Restaurants
And, if you’ve worked up an appetite, the area has many dining options, including Food Truck World, Red Lobster, Flippers Pizzeria, Frogger’s, A&W, Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs, Pizza Hut, and Mr. Sushi, along with many fast food options, such as Auntie Anne’s, Checkers and Burger King.
Whether you are looking to plan a day with your family, or a fun night out with friends, playing an escape room or two (or three!) at The Escape Hatch and pairing it with one of the many nearby attractions, will make for a memorable occasion, and with so many options available, finding something that everyone will enjoy is easy!
